Des Moines Winter Engagement Photos

Jordan + Cole had me laughing almost the whole time I was with them. They love traveling, outdoor adventures, hangout out at home, Iowa Hawkeye Tailgates, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new places!

They first met August of 2017 at law school during orientation day. Then later graduated in 2019, bought a house in June this year and got engaged in July! So many exciting and amazing changes are happening for these two and I’m so pumped I get to celebrate with them and capture all the feels!

They really like sweets (I can relate) so that’s why we made our first stop at Molly’s Cupcake where they got excited to enjoy two yummy cupcakes with surprise fillings! Junk food Jordan, as Cole calls her, was especially in her element enjoying all the sugar 😉 It almost felt like a mini Valentine’s Day date.

We hopped around several different places on our walk to Peace Tree Brewing. They enjoy going to breweries together so it was only fitting that they got to cozy up inside one. 

Since they met in Des Moines a cityscape view was a must. So they got to enjoy one of the best views of the city from the Iowa State Capitol. It was freezing so I mainly had them do some extra cozying up so they didn’t turn into complete ice cycles. 

They ended their date night going to see Eric Church!! They said it was an amazing show and he played for over 3 HOURS! I’ve seen him in concert before and he’s definitely the only big name artist I know of that puts on a show for that long without any openers. Doing something fun like this after a session is definitely a great way to have keepsake images before an eventful night together. That way you’ll always be able to remember it!

A couple days later we finished out the rest of their session to make sure we could include the newest member of their little family: Flynn!! Oh my goodness this little guy is the absolute cutest! I love his little whiskery face! And I’m glad I caught him giving mom and dad kisses to show just how much he loves his new humans!

After our time together I just KNOW their wedding in September is going to be so fun and full of many laughs. And hopefully some snuggles with a much larger Flynn too!
